Your mission is to get to the top of the hotel and destroy the Combine substation connecting to the Vault.

a zombie life walkthrough

In the main dining hall, you'll encounter a headcrab zombie and a headcrab that burst forth from the bar on the far left side of the room. Kill them, then take the shotgun shells from the piano on the opposite (right) side of the room. Walk back to the bar and find two Resins plus a battery hidden inside.

At the start of the next area, you'll find yourself in a room with a locked door. Right behind you is a Resin hidden behind some barrels. Unlock the door by tapping your Multi-Tool to it and solving the corresponding door puzzle. Continue through to the next area where you'll immediately see a Xen grenade dispenser and a headcrab zombie. After you kill the zombie, and before you take the next turn left, take the Resin from the shelf to your right.

When you come out onto the walkway, you'll pass a hanging zombie corpse with a grenade on it. Grabbing the grenade will make the corpse fall into the pit below. Don't look down! Continue down the walkway and you'll eventually come into a small room with an open (overgrown) vent shaft and a Resin perched inside of it.

Through the next door, you'll want to take a left over the next walkway, stopping to grab the Resin from a table below you. Follow the path down and drop to the barrels on the floor below. Turn around and follow the walkway to a ramp, then teleport down another floor. Kill the barnacles in front of you and the zombies below, then continue through the next door.

Kill the toxic headcrabs in the next room, then look around for supplies. There's an ammo crate nearby, as well as a Resin on the desk against the far wall. Exit the room, then teleport one more floor down. You should now be on the ground floor with a bunch of zombies and headcrabs that will rush you. There are also crates on the ground with healing syringes, ammo, and at least one Resin. One of the shelves has a crate with a Resin inside of it as well. There's at least one locked container nearby, with three pistol clips and a healing syringe inside.

Wander around until you find a staircase that leads down into a room with a "headcrab" silhoutte cast against the wall in front of you. Follow the stairs, take a left, and come face to face with not a headcrab, but another lightning dog. This time it will possess a nearby corpse, creating a lightning dog zombie.

Shoot the glowing blue pustules that come out of the zombie's arms and head until it dies, then kill the lightning dog. You can get into the room that it's in by following the fence around to a door with a bar jammed into the handle. Grab the bar and pry it out of the handle, then enter the fenced enclosure. There's Resin, ammo, and at least one syringe on a table nearby. Reach into the nearby vents and pull out another Resin.

Go back into the main area and you'll be faced with yet another lightning dog who will, once again, possess a corpse to create zombie. Kill them both, avoiding their electric attacks as you shoot, and you'll get a reviver. Slot it into the machine near the transport lift pods, then press the button at the end of the bridge to bring down the elevator. Pull the handle to enter the elevator, then press the blue button once inside to go up.

When you're ready, jump down into the hole in the floor and continue back through the hotel rooms below. Take a left down the first hallway, then turn another left, and you'll find yourself in a fight with a toxic headcrab, a headcrab zombie, and a regular headcrab. One of the nearby bathrooms has a zombie corpse hunched over a Resin in a bathtub. There is also a smattering of ammo in nearby cupboards. Jump through the open doorway and continue down the ramp to get to the next area when you're ready.

The bathroom has a health syringe in it, but there isn't much else left to find in here. Bash out the window on the far side of the room and mantle (or teleport) onto the other side. Shimmy to the right, then hold open the window for the adjacent hotel room. Grab the grenade off the desk, activate it, and bowl it into the group of zombies that are blocking the room's exit.

When they're dead, teleport into the room. A fourth zombie will emerge from the restroom to your right. Kill them, then head out the door and continue up the staircase. Kill barnacles and zombies on your way up, and find a Resin at the very top of the stairwell. Clear the luggage away from the blocked door, and enter a long, dark hallway with toxic headcrabs crawling around on the walls.

Jump over the crate that you found the SMG sitting on, and kill the zombies on the other side of the fence. The locked container in front of you contains more ammo for your new SMG. Shoot the lock on the door, and continue into the next room. In the next room, you'll find even more ammo for the SMG, and an emergency shutoff handle in an electrical cabinet nearby.

You'll find yourself in a circular space with several zombies attacking you at all sides, as well as two lightning dog zombies. Kill each of them, then take both revivers from both lightning dog corpses. Make sure to check each room, as there are several Resins cleverly hidden in the circumference of this section.

Not sure how to proceed? Just pick him up and put him down at the crafting station you want him to work on. Click craft, and he will get busy. Depending on his work ethics though. When you proceed on the path past the stone blockage you will find the Felling Site. A big tree that your Zombie can hack away on to your hearts content. You will never be short on wood again. First though, you have to unlock the required workshop that needs building in front of the tree in your Technology Tree by unlocking the Zombie Wood building blueprint. After that, the workshop needs 12x finch, 4x Nails, 1xAxe1 to be built. The workshop has room for two zombies.

Zombies can be used in the garden to grow crops for you, after you have unlocked the Zombie Gardening Blueprint. Build the zombie garden and place the Zombie in it and a menu of seeds you want to grow pops up, once you pick the seeds the Zombie will get to work. The zombie garden has three tiers Bronze, Silver and Gold and can be upgraded to each tier.

The Zombie Survival Guide is the first book written by American author Max Brooks, published in 2003. It is a satirical survival manual about zombies, containing information about zombie physiology and behavior, defense strategies and tactics, and includes case studies of possible zombie outbreaks throughout history. Despite its fictional subject matter, the book also includes practical information on disaster preparedness, generally.[2]

The book is divided into seven sections and an appendix. The first section contains information on the nature of "Solanum", a virus that causes zombification, as well as the physical attributes of zombies and a classification system for the severity of hypothetical zombie outbreaks. The next five sections cover practical survival skills and advice for coping with a zombie outbreak, including combat, defense preparations, methods of transportation and adapting to a world overrun with zombies. The final section lists recorded zombie attacks throughout history.

The appendix is an "outbreak journal" for the reader to record incidents of possible zombie activity or outbreaks, including dates, locations, distance, specifics, and actions taken in response. It contains an example entry describing a suspicious news report about a family that had been murdered and partially eaten, and the preparedness steps taken by the entry's author as a result.

In an 2013 interview with the New York Times, Brooks said he felt his literary agent had marketed the book as a parody, saying "How I think my agent pitched them was like, Mel Brooks' son, who has just won an Emmy for 'S.N.L.,' wrote this unbelievable parody, tongue in cheek, he never breaks character. He's totally making fun of a zombie plague." However, he considered the book to be in the self-help genre, rather than humor, saying "I can't think of anything less funny than dying in a zombie attack."[3]

Brooks' second book, World War Z, is a follow-up to The Zombie Survival Guide. Brooks has stated that the zombies in World War Z obey the same laws described in The Zombie Survival Guide, and suggested that they may exist in the same fictional universe.[4]

Wideload Games, the developer set up by former Bungie Studios folk, has announced its first game this week - a quirky-sounding Xbox, PC and Mac project going by the name of Rebel Without A Pulse, in which you take up the role of a zombie, "Stubbs".

It sounds quite intriguing. Technically, it will make use of Bungie's Halo engine, enhanced with new pixel shaders, screen effects and AI (improved AI? Surely not!), but far more interesting is the prospect of leading a "wisecracking zombie" as he takes on the futuristic town of Punchbowl, PA, using "his own carcass and the weapons of his possessed enemies" to instigate "an all-out war between the living and the dead". 2ff7e9595c
